Hi! My name is Maureen Martin, I have been interested in City Park Radio for approximately 13 years when they were broadcasting at Alanvale College - I used to take my Stan Coster records there for airplay. My interest in Country Music goes back to 1968 when I was doing my Mothercraft Nursing at QVH and I used to go to sleep listening to Max Kettle singing "White Silver Sands". In 1972 we were living in Mt Isa and we had the Rodeo and Slim Dusty Show in August, we actually lived next door to Stan Coster's daughter, Jayne.
My favourite artists include Marty Robbins and Daniel O'Donnell, Singing Kettles and various Australian bush balladeers like Brian Letton, Stan Coster, Brian Young, they have all done a lot for Australian Country Music and written their songs from the heart of this BIG country. My female artists include Shaza Leigh, Tracy Coster and Sharon Heaslip again writing their own material.
I began my time with City Park Radio mainly behind-the-scenes writing up APRA forms and play sheets in the Country Unit. I went to on-air after a vacancy was created due to the death of Keith Reid who left us in September 1996. I currently present programs such as Country Muster, Country Cavalcade, Mixed Bag and Sunday Afternoon Music, which I enjoy immensely.

Alan
Hi there. Although I have been a member of City Park Radio almost from its inception, I have only been a program presenter for just over ten years. My interest in Country Music came about from hearing it on the radio from the late 1940s, and has continued until the present time. Although I endeavour to play a wide variety of country music styles and artists in my programs, it is probably impossible to cover the whole spectrum, but it is fun and challenging to try.
